ROUND 1 Misano Review

GREAT START FOR GSM RACING. P3 FOR CECOTTO AND LIDDY AT MISANO Race 1 The first heat of the weekend started at sunset with Jonathan Cecotto in the fourth row. Cecotto started the first race on GSM Racing's Lamborghini Huracan, after Friday's qualifying session which saw him, together with Liddy, conquer the seventh overall time. Jonathan made a good start and immediately became the protagonist of a good overtaking. Liddy’s stint took place after about 30 minutes of race and the young Californian driver also kept the pace, improving his performance every lap. “I'm happy with our first race because we didn't make any mistakes” declared Jonathan Cecotto “Even at the pit stop which is a very delicate moment, everything went smoothly. Due to our starting position on the grid it was very difficult to attack the leaders, but our race pace was like the others and so I can feel satisfied ”. For his part, Liddy said: “I am satisfied with my first race with GSM Racing. The Team worked hard to get the car ready  for Race 1 and Jonathan drove a great first stint and out pit stop was perfect. I felt a vibration from the tires for the first half of my stint, but I was able to diagnose the issue and push at the end of the stint to post some fast times”. Race 2 A second heat that confirmed the best expectations collected in Race 1. Patrick Liddy on the starting grid immediately demonstrated a fast driving and a great pace. Pit in for Jonathan Cecotto who to bring the team to the finish line in third position in the Pro category, fourth in the general classification. “I'm very happy” said Jonathan Cecotto “finishing third in the Pro category is a really good result. I thank all the team who worked well this week as well as my teammate Patrick. We both did a great job on the track. " “I'm happy with this third place in our category,” said Liddy. “Both Jonathan and I drove clean  and fast and the car rwas dialed in. Thanks to   GSM Monaco for their hard work. Looking forward to the next race at Nurburgring”. Andrea Grillini, at his first experience in this championship, is also satisfied with the result: ”I was certain of the qualities of  technicians and drivers and I always knew that we could do well. However, this championship is new for us but everything really went well. " Next race at Nurburgring on 4-5 September.
